Shelley Point offers a nine-hole golf course, which is situated in the middle of the estate. It was designed by doyen of SA PGA golf professionals, Ken Elkin, who was Mowbray Golf Club’s Professional and he designed more than 40 golf courses. Devonvale Golf, Parow, Durbanville and Erinvale are just some of his designs.
This may only be a nine-hole golf course, but it certainly promises plenty in the way of a challenging game. The gorgeous greens and fairways wind through the pretty vegetation that graces this part of the country so beautifully.

This, in turn provides a stunning habitat to small buck, hares and plenty different bird species, giving the course a very special aura of nature. Due to the uniqueness of the area, being able to see both the sunrise and sunset, it affords a lengthy day for most of the year, allowing those who prefer either the early or late tee off times.
The courses’ signature hole is the seventh which is a tricky par four and top stroking hole.
The course is open Monday through Sunday and visitors are welcome to play here on any day of the week.
Shelley Point, covering an area of 150 hectares stretches from Stompneusbaai in the east, Shell Bay to the north and looks back over Golden Mile to the west. The strandveld it consists of is home to many species.
